C-View Imaging Technology

InterScience has developed a unique optical system capable of imaging a 3pi steradian solid angle onto a single image plane. This technology is currently in the advanced prototype development stage for integration with visible, near-infrared and infrared cameras. Potential applications of this technology include commercial and military surveillance, perimeter detection, industrial inspection, and pipe inspection. Although the custom optical system can be tailored to a specific field of view, the existing system has a 360 degree panoramic field of view and a 270 degree vertical field of view. Associated image processing and presentation software is under development to provide application remapping or image enhancement of the resultant still images or video.
